UPCOMING PLANNING AND PARKS & RECREATION MEETING SCHEDULE:

 

April 4, 2011 (6pm) - Hearing before the Planning Commission on a Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Conditional Use, Partition, and Site Design Review for a 164 unit apartment complex and 30,000 square foot of commercial space.  This meeting will be held at the Molalla Adult Center located at 315 Kennel Avenue.

 

MOLALLA'S PLANNING DEPARTMENT

 

To qualify for the Planning Commission, applicants must be U.S. citizens and submit a completed application for appointment to a citizen committee.  Forms are available at City Hall or on the city web page at www.cityofmolalla.com, Each volunteer form shall be accompanied by a brief statement of why the applicant wishes to serve on the Planning Commission.  All candidates are welcome to include a resume with their applications.  Appointments to the Planning Commission will be made by the Mayor.

 

The Molalla Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing and acting upon land use applications and to make recommendations to the City Council on land use issues.

 

The Planning Department is responsible for guiding the City's growth by updating and enforcing all applicable land use regulations and development standards.  The Planning Department is responsible for all current and long range planning including the issuance of permits, maintaining and implementing the Molalla Comprehensive Plan.  Molalla's Comprehensive Plan is implemented through adopted Ordinances (Chapters 16 through 22 of the Molalla Municipal Code).
